Had a patient from three weeks ago come back up to the unit today just to say hi. He was rough when he was with us, confused most of the time, pulling at everything, didn't know where he was. I honestly didn't think he'd remember any of it.
He walked right up to the station, looked at me and said my name. Said his daughter told him I was the one who sat with him that night he kept trying to get out of bed. I don't even remember doing anything special, it was just a Tuesday.
Anyway I'm sitting in my car right now and haven't started it yet. Does anyone else have that one patient who came back and it kind of reset something for you?
